    prompt replies to questions via e mail. Clean, quiet room.

    very impersonal when booking in, continental breakfast mediocre, terrible aspartame flavoured fruit juice and two rounds of toast only with cheap jam, no fruits, cereals, yoghurts etc.

    Ideally situated - only about 10 minutes from Gatwick. Car parking included. Courtesy minibus arrived withing 10 minutes of phone call on our return

    Excellent staff. They were very helpful in assisting me with my heavy over sized luggage. Breakfast was excellent and fast.

    Room at the top attic was a bit short (ceiling) for tall people. We kept hitting our heads. Overall the room was very cute and clean.

    was taken to different hotel than what we had booked with on our return from abroad we were given a bigger room and excellent evening meal and breakfast and transfer to airport only difference was the evening meal cost more than at the acorn lodge hotel but avery good choice in menu

    "The hotel in general is reasonably comfortable, well decorated and very clean. I would happily stay at this hotel again. However I cannot recommend the Economy / Attic bedrooms due to lack of headroom, far less headroom than expected." (107494616)

    Clean. Well maintained.

    BEDROOM; Attic room was very restrictive in height, unable to stand up in much of the room, unable to stand at toilet, shower very small & little or no water pressure at times, roof window blinds were ineffective. BREAKFAST; Small portions & limited choice.

    Service, food, shuttle service all good. Bed comfortable.

    Room was small with ceiling and doors slope of roof. Could only stand upright in 5 foot square area and part of that was used by the bed. We had to move around the room in a bent over position and bumped heads on ceiling several times. We even had to lean down to go through both entry door and door to Loo. Would not have spent anymore nights because of room.

    As above: clean, staff attentive, lifts to and from airport went according to plan, no waiting.

    Poor 'Health and Safety' e.g no idea where fire exit might be. Room was in the attic and had low ceiling. Stairs narrow and steep. Door handle/lock badly positioned so that finger could be caught. Traffic noise.

    Very clean, nice breakfast, generally good service!

    Night porter was a bit grumpy when we arrived from our wedding reception and we had to carry our own cases to the room!

    "This was the third or fourth time we had stayed at the hotel - overnight before going to Gatwick for holiday flight. The staff are friendly and efficient, the rooms always comfortable and clean - with nice touches like fresh flowers in dining room and bedrooms. Breakfast is cooked to order and evening meal very convenient to take at the hotel. Excellent value for money - includes parking and travel to and from Gatwick." (97303523)

    friendly staff , excelllent accomodation

    I would have enjoyed the breakfast more if the cooking oil used had been better. everything tasted funny which was ashame.

    "The hotel is in a perfect location for access to the airport. The rooms were clean and there was no problem with noise from any overhead aircraft. My only problem is the stairs. Very narrow and can be quite difficult bring heavy suitcases up the stairs." (97645371)

    "A great restaurant, great food, great room, very clean and cozy. Breakfast was wonderful, and the price for the meals were not that bad. A great hotel to stay at if visiting and you want to go to London. I'm a travel agent and I will suggest this hotel to my clients. Just take the train to London and you can save lots of hotel money by not staying inside London proper" (97007180)

    Good location close to airport, quick pick up service from airport, in clean comfortable transport. Helpful staff, groundfloor room with large bathroom, everything you need for an overnight stay. Car parked safely overall really pleased,and good value.

    Near to Gatwick Airport. Breakfast was very good and quickly served. The shuttle bus service was excellent. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

    the cleanliness and the helpful staff

    I thought the decor was a little dated in a few rooms but we were told that they are updating the rooms as it becomes possible,all though this should not put you off as the whole building is clean and spotless

    Close to Gatwich airport, pickup at airport was quick and timely, and very clean hotel. Breakfast was very good..

    No airconditioning..but was OK at night.. Phone at airport hard to find to call hotel..

    "Although we originally booked into the Acorn Gatwick, on arrival we were offered the choice to move to the Cambridge Gatwick Hotel which is where the secure parking was for the duration of our holiday abroad. My comments therefore are based on the Cambridge Gatwick and not the Acorn Gatwick." (97857884)

    The staff were very accommodating by providing milk (at no charge) when I requested it for my 30 month old. The restaurant appeared very classy, the service was excellent and the portions were more than adequate. All the staff were polite and courteous.

    The 'Continental' breakfast consisted of cereal and/or toast, with tea, coffee and/or juice.

    Friendly staff, excellent food, excellent cleanliness.

    The loft conversion room was very small although if only staying overnight it was adequate as it had a double bed & shower although as the shower was in the room I would have preferred it in a separate room.

    "What would be really useful is an area where cases can be left if required as it was really difficult to carry our bags up and down the stairs." (97207123)

    The free transfer service, especially back to Gatwick to catch the Gatwick Express the next morning.

    The room was really small and not enough room for our cases, also the shower was dangerous - we nearly scalded ourselves as the control was not easy to use.

    Both my wife and I are over 6 feet tall. The rooms in the attic are not recommended for someone of this height. Let people know of the height restrictions

    "Stayed here once before and property has been refurbished since last visit. They've done a good job. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine and staff very helpful and professional.But we didn't like the loft room. Head room not adequate when trying to prepare for a business meeting.Too hot then too cold when skylight opened. Just a personal thing but would avoid this particular room. Definately recommend this hotel though and would consider it first if further meeting required a stay by Gatwick airport." (97644553)

    "The room was overheated and could not be cooled even turning off the radiator and opening the window. The bed was of poor quality. The ensuite bathroom was suitable for someone who was suffering from gastroenteritis. It was not possible for one to dry oneself in the privacy of the bathroom. Two double gin and tonics cost £17.80, more expensive than Dubai." (97610535)
