    Smooth booking process; polite staff; nice breakfast

    The room key system was out of order on our arrival on 2 August - it took three hours to fix it; the air conditioning in the room was too noisy - it kept us awake at night; the bath towels were too old and were falling apart; shower caps were not provided.

    Conveniently positioned for our needs. All staff that we delt with were very pleasant. Room fine for our requirements. Restaurant clean with excellent menus. We will definately come to your hotel when we next have to visit Bristol.

    Check in staff very efficiant and welcoming. Check in took all of 2 mins so very quick, nice decor in room and very spacious, layout of hotel very lovely, location of hotel excellant as only 5 mins walk to shops/cafes etc.

    Air con was not working properly as room was uncomfortably warm at times throughout the night although we had it switched on to the coolest setting (yes the window was closed), also it was a little bit pricey for us for just 1 night.

    Staff very pleasant and helpful, rooms clean, modern and nicely air conditionedThe breakfast was excellent...wish I could have eaten more. Also bar food was also excellent...especially the cheese board with port!!!

    found the pillows too lumpy.....when everything else was so perfect; this just seemed to let down the overall excellence of the place.

    Hotel reception looked nice

    Rooms dirty and uncared for. Dirty carpets, bathroom not up to a clean standard. Breakfast mediocre, breakfast staff unattentive. Confusion over booking, not remedied very quickly.

    The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds very comfortable.

    The shower rooms were well appointed, but why no hook to hang a dressing gown on? I think all your showers should have safety handles fitted as standard.

    Big comfortable room. Nice bathroom.

    It was difficult to stay warm in the room. Easter was a bit cold this year and the heating-system didn't react to our attempt to up the temperature and the staff didn't react to our complaints about it.

    "As the focus of our trip was to see a band play locally,the hotel was kinda of the invisible part of the trip. However as these things go you do tend to remember when you have any bad experience and this reflects on the quality of your overall weekend. To put it simply the hotel was not the subject of any negative feedback on the journey home. In fact due to the helpfulness of the staff, the calming nature of the hotel's enviroment it enhanced our overall impression of bristol. To coin a well known phrase it did everything it said on the tin and some. The 'and some' is the little things that stand out, the doors to the toilet, the bar man who served us beer in a friendly way, the ordering of a taxi with a minimum of fuss despite the member of staff clearly doing 3 other things and the quality of the scrambled eggs!"     Unflustered nature of the staff, room was spotless, no request was to small or trvial for the staff to deal with

    it was only one night!!!

    "The checkin script is too complicated and therefore the staff always say it too fast for the guest to actually remember anything. By the time the receptionist has reached the end of all the times of breakfast, latest checkout, the facilities and everything else I just wanted to run to my room. Surely most of this could just be written on the door ticket holder and pointed out... In the end I answered no to opening an account for meals etc by accident... just to get away. Otherwise good!"     spacious, calm, quiet, roomy shower,good breakfast choice

    smelly bed, dirt under washbasin rim, electric fault on lhs corner lamp, and being asked to pay for breakfast when our receipts clearly showed we had pre-paid for breakfast for both days - we were not concerned about the error but there was an intitial reaction that suggested that we - the client - had made the mistake - which is clearly not the way to proceed. We are mature and not easily annoyed so the incident was not a a problem for us but could easily have been for others. [A chap next to us at the desk was also larfgly doubted when he found that the two adjoining rooms he had booked were not provided - he had specialist needs and had clearly taken great care to book for these. ON a silly/minor note the chairs in the dining room were put out randomly which rather mucked up the colour scheme. Of greater concern was the fact that both our breakfast tables were really sticky - our elbos stuck to them - and yes we shouldn't rest our elbows on the table! They were being strayed and cursorily wiped but not actually cleaned so the the marmalade etc. was building up nicely...Oh - and the safe in the room did not work either

    Parking facilities are too cramped. Many people therefore take up two spaces and leave few or none left for other visitors.

    Standard run of the mill hotel

    The bath was very uncomfortable and no sausages at breakfast despite being told several times they were on the way they never arrived leaving myself and others standing there like wallys also yhe carpark was a bit of nightmare to find a space

    Room Clean, good shower and bed.

    Waited for ever to get into the gym - its a buzzer that ring reception but if busy they will not hear the bell and you wait for a very long time if a visit to reception is not taken!
