"Good for what we needed but rather soul-less." (107541312)
Good location+local amenities, clean, comfortable beds, flexible with restaurant on site to use as required. Good parking.
Close to busy road-no outlook. Quite basic room. Plain decor- no character.

"Enjoyed it comparable with similar priced hotels, friendly staff." (107138059)
I liked the layout of the hotel. Plenty of trees and grass gave it a very nice feel.
The cleaning in the bathroom could have been better, slight smell. Some of the buildings could do with a repaint

"Generally good -very good except for he catering " (107133778)
Good room maintained well for budget range.Attentive and friendly staff
The restaurant. evening meals were small portions and although competitively priced were not sufficient in size to be considered good value for money. I did not have breakfast at all during my stay as a fixed price menu is of poor value to myself as I only eat toast and coffee at breakfast.

"Staff were friendly Breakfast was good." (107211463)
Nice staff and the room was clean.
Terrible traffic noise from nearby roads (you advertise a peaceful stay) Bathroom extract fan running constantly. Unable to switch off.Very hard to sleep with this constant noise throughout the night. This should operate when the lights are on/off. No internet TV Very lack lustre buffet. 3663/Brake Brothers type spread(pork pie, plastic ham, satay sticks) Come on - surely can do better than that! Suggest you move your smokers area well away from the restaurant doors as the smoke blows into the restaurant when the doors are open.

Clean - loved the set out of the rooms - like chalet holiday camp style. Reminded me of butlins!
Not enough milk/tea making supplies in the room.

"I was looking for reasonably priced accommodation for one night to be able to attend an audition early the following day, so the primary criteria was cost, as the hotel facilities were not the main reason for travelling. I'd not heard of the Campanile chain before, so took something of a risk staying there but the price was very competitive compared to other budget hotels in the area and the website looked ok. The hotel turned out to be very good, I've stayed at worse 3* and this one is rated 2*. The staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly, the food was perfectly good quality and overall the experience was very good. Booking was painless and the final bill was accurate. I would certainly stay there again if I needed to be in the area overnight." (97604863)
Value for money, convenient location and bar/restaurant facilities.

The staff are very happy and helpful. The rooms are clean and well equiped. the food is very good.
I would appreciate a hair dryer in the room. I know you can get one from the reception but I find this inconvient.

"This is a very nice hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. The only problem I had was the location. If using a SatNav, do not use the postcode; it's a long way from the hotel. My advice is to input your destination by first selecting BASILDON, then either BURCHES, SS14 or MILES GRAY ROAD, SS14." (97547302)
Very neat room.
Nothing.

Very clean.Could not really use restaurant as we had the dog. We did have a drink in bar and food looked good.Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Just one light bulb missing from reading lamp in room.

"Nice staff but I would stay elswhere next time." (107715147)
friendly check in - helpful staff.
It's not nice to have your room number given out when there are other people standing around in the reception area. Food was awful but staff responded well to the complaint. I needed a hair dryer - had breakfast with wet hair but got one from reception eventually. Treatening as a single woman business traveller to have a room that seemed surrounded by loud and burly bricklayers.

clean hotel, friendly staff, accesable to local ammenities,
would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room to keep food and milk for the baby in. Son took ill during the night and hotel did not have emergency telephone numbers for doctor. Cooked english breakfast was poor value for money.

bathroom fan extractor not working. No draw space in the room & not enough hangers. Not quite enough space right side of bed Not quite enough ventilation with one window opening a few inches. evening meal disappointing except for the sweet which was very good

"My son and I do enjoy our stay at the hotel when I need to attend business events.Being very careful about computer fraud, the online booking was excellent, very user friendly and quick. " (97366363)
Comfortable beds, good washing facilities.
Main curtain was not long enough to keep out outside walkway light. TV to go digital as channel 5 was poor reception. Did find sewing needle on carpet floor on second morning whether there on arrival and was hidden and missed by cleaners do not know.

Room is very clean
Staff is not much helpful if you enquire about accommodation, like online I have got accommodation for mon, wed and thu ngihts, but not on tuesday night, when I have requested for tuesday if there are any cancellations they are not much helpful, simply they say we don't have, no courtesy at all to regular customers.

It was clean bright functional and comfortable - the bed was one of the best we've slept in, in a hotel, for some time.
Very little. A bit more sophisticated control over the room temperature would be good.
